Within the Department of Investments and Projects, we provide all legislative activities related to the renovation, construction and maintenance of public and ceremonial lighting in Brno. In particular, the processing and preparation of project documentation and construction implementation, including supervision of the investor in accordance with the Construction Act.

An integral part of the preparation and construction of buildings is the cooperation with other implementation companies, such as Brněnské komunikace, Brněnské vodárny, the Statutory City of Brno, the Municipality of Brno and others.

Assessing construction plans of other persons or companies (foreign investors) in future contact with public lighting installations. Statements on and setting conditions for newly built public lighting (compliance with the Brno Municipal Standards for Public Lighting).

During and after works, it is necessary to carry out pre-backfill inspections to ensure that existing installations, including public lighting cables, have not been damaged.

Any intervention in the ground in the vicinity of public lighting requires the marking out of networks. A technician will locate the cable lines from the cadastral maps and then visibly mark them at the required location.

After purchasing a new locator, we have improved the quality and, above all, the efficiency of our work. The locator boasts higher reliability and accuracy, thus improving the quality of the outputs from the map records. Another important task is the identification of faults and subsequent repair of cable faults.
